Autumn News

Time flies when you're having fun and we're having a blast. I can't
believe it is this late in September already and Corn Fest has
officially begun... We're having a wonderful fall - the trees are just
starting to turn but the grass is still green because of all the rain we
had this year. I frequently walk at Goose Lake Prairie State Park and
I've never seen the prairie so green (and yellow because of all the
beautiful native sunflowers blooming) this late in the season. Its a
great time for drinking tea - both iced and hot. The days are warm
enough for iced tea, but the mornings and evenings have enough of a nip
in the air to make a cup of hot tea taste great. For whatever reason, I
think spiced tea is perfect in the fall (my favorite season). A nice
Masala Chai or a black tea with cinnamon, citrus, and spice is
incredibly satisfying for me this time of year. Also, we'll be bringing
back our Cold Weather blend which has lots of great spices and
flavorings - you might want to give that a try too.
As many of you know, we are pleased to be selling soaps and lotions from
Prairie Moon Cabin. Allison, the owner and chief soap maker, is very
talented and comes up with some amazing blends. But we are especially
proud of the Chai Tea soap and lotion that she made just for us. You can
buy Prairie Moon Cabin products online and in other shops, but you can
only buy the Chai Tea blend in our shop. Its fantastic! I like a lot of
her products, especially the Hippie Hemp soap, but the Chai Tea scent is
a winner. So stop in to try the lotion, and I bet you'll have a new
favorite too. Thanks, Allison...
Thanks again to everyone who stopped in. Hope to see you again soon.
Take care and drink more tea,
Lorraine
